Your single-player progress - and the world that you're playing in - is stored locally on your computer. As such, you can access the files to customise the settings for your single-player world at any time.
Customising in-game
Most settings can be customised from within SCUM, without the need to access your game files. To do this:
- Open SCUM
- On the Main Menu, hit SINGLE PLAY
- Hit LOAD
- Once your world has loaded, hit ESC to open the menu
- Hit SERVER SETTINGS
- A sub-menu will open that includes all the modifiable settings for your world. Customise these as desired
- Once you've made your desired changes hit Apply
Customising your game files
You can also modify the local relevant text file to customise your single-player world.
Warning - Before proceeding, we'd recommend making a copy of the associated text file in case something goes wrong. If you're unfamiliar with this process, we'd recommend using the in-game settings instead.
To modify the text file for you single-player world:
- Close SCUM
- Hit Windows Key + R to open the Run command
- Paste the following into the text box:
- %localappdata%\SCUM\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
- In the Folder that opens, locate the text file ServerSettings.ini
- Double-click the folder to open it in Notepad
- Change any associated settings by manually editing the text
- Hit File - Save to save your changes
Your changes should apply when you next open your single-player world.
I've made a change that doesn't seem to have applied
To ensure game stability, some settings have limits to how far they can be modified. If you've made a change that doesn't seem to have worked, it's likely you have tried to adjust a setting above the maximum value or below the minimum value.
To rectify this, restore the setting to its default value and try a different value.
