Survival Tips
Survival Tips are handy tips that will pop up regularly through play to aid you in your fight to stay alive.
When you first jump in to play, you'll receive a pop-up message asking you to select the type of tips you want to receive. Choose the one that's right for you:
| OFF | No tips will be shown |
| BEGINNER | Tips will appear often with useful information for first-time players |
| INTERMEDIATE | Tips for players who have some experience with SCUM |
| EXPERT |
Tips for high-level, experienced players who don't require much guidance |
Changed your mind? No problem! You can change the level of Survival Tips you see at any time from the Settings menu:
- Open the Settings menu
- Hit Game
- Under Survival Tip Level, select the level of Survival Tips you want to see
- Hit Apply
The Codex
Need some info in a pinch, or looking to improve your understanding of SCUM's mechanics overall? The Codex has you covered.
The Codex is a survival guide containing walkthroughs, tips and tricks on topics such as:
- Movement
- Survival
- Inventory
- Crafting
- Health
- Metabolism
- And many more!
You can access the Codex at any time in game by hitting Shift + Z.
You can then navigate to the required section on the left, or search for a specific topic using the search bar at the top.
